Funding: Apprenticeship Incentive Grant for Women – What this grant offers

From: Employment and Social Development Canada

The Apprenticeship Incentive Grant for Women (AIG-W) pilot project ended March 31, 2023. Applications will not be accepted after this date.

Apprentices whose first year (level/block) or second year (level/block) progression date occurs after the AIG-W pilot project ended on March 31, 2023 may be eligible for the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG).

Supporting women to enter the trades continues to be a priority for us. In fall 2022, we launched a call for proposals for the new Women in the Skilled Trades Initiative, which will support projects that recruit, retain, and help women succeed in 39 eligible Red Seal trades found predominately in the construction and manufacturing sectors. Projects under this initiative will be announced in summer 2023.

Apply for funding for the Women in the Skilled Trades Initiative under the Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy - Canada.ca.
