If you live in an affected area and need your passport urgently, we recommend you
- apply in person at a passport office and
- pick up your passport in person when it’s ready
If you don’t apply for pick-up service, it may take longer than normal for you to get your passport by mail. Learn more about the Canada Post service interruptions.
If you need your passport faster, you may be able to get one of these services:
- urgent pick-up (by end of next business day)
- express pick-up (2 to 9 business days)
- emergency weekend or statutory holiday service
You can request these services
- when you apply
- after you apply, but you now need your passport sooner
